The Fine Travel Company Inc., established in 2000, is one of the most frequented resources for discerning independent travellers. Besides some highlight-packages featured on our website as ‘ready to go’ we also provide fee-based, personalized travel planning to individuals looking for an experience far beyond the traditional tourist holiday.
We endeavour to keeping up to date on the travellers’ scene — hotels fall in and out of favour; museums shut unexpectedly or modify opening hours; scaffolding comes up and down. After completing our travel planning survey and submitting the initial consultation fee, you will receive two to six pages of personalized travel suggestions, including an outline for a suggested itinerary and a detailed proposal for our comprehensive services. We listen carefully and unhurriedly to your concerns and interests. Each custom Travel Plan is developed around your budget and expectations.

SERVICE OPTIONS FOR DISCERNING INDEPENDENT TRAVELLERS:
Our services are comprehensive, unique and truly an insider's approach to your travels. The approach of our Travel Planning services is to assess your interests and travel ambitions first, then overlay our insider knowledge to ensure the most special experience possible. We apply this to all of other service options: art tours, food and wine experiences, activities.
All of our services offer a wealth of detail, experience and knowledge. Central to all of them is our Accommodation Planning service, which begins by working with you to select and order bases, then determines the length of stay at each and finally make your accommodation plans for you. Accommodations are selected for their charm, helpful staff, comfort and value. Hotel locations are consistently excellent.

OUR SERVICES ARE DIVIDED IN A COUPLE OF CATEGORIES:
The BASIC is our Accommodation Planning service and for some travellers can serve as a stand-alone. This service is ideal for travellers who wish only the basic service and for those who wish to coordinate their own itinerary, touring and dining plans. It includes details of accommodations, including locations, and provides general information on routing from one hotel to the next. It comes in PDF format and is charged as follows:

Trips up to 7 days or up to three bases at our minimum fee of CAD$200
Trips up to 2 weeks / up to four bases CAD$395.
For trips longer than two weeks or exceeding four bases we price to order.

THE EXPERIENCE INCLUDES:
Accommodation Planning, as base package plus our Activity materials: in-depth information on hidden secrets that you will share with local guides. May it be regional culinary tours, cultural trips away from the crowds or activities combined with all of it.
We do not plan your travels fully, nor do we plan each day, but we provide you with a unique point of departure for your own adventures.
Transportation Planning also comes into play — including for arrival and departure transfers. Given that this is your special vacation we will upfront check what is doable and what should be avoided.
Private guides in a number of destinations are the way to travel and indulge culture, art, history. We also work with specialized guides in several locations, such as for private walking and bicycling tours in various regions of the world. Cooking and wine classes are also readily arranged. It also comes as a PDF file.
For two weeks and no more than four bases, the price on this service is CAD$795.
More than two weeks and four bases we will price to order.

Our approach in preparing your Travel Plan is to assess not only your interests, but also any previous travel experiences you may have had. Visitors planning for two weeks or more will enrich their knowledge of the country and its lifestyle, providing the perfect experience. To give first-time visitors a more meaningful feel for Canada, we suggested that four days of their 14-day itinerary be at some countryside base in Alberta or B.C., and to select two or three additional bases - each for four days. This allowes for a relaxed pace and gives travellers a better sense of “places”.
Our own special favourite: West Coast of Vancouver Island, amidst the splendid rugged area along the Pacific Ocean: a premier eco-safari destination located in the Clayoquot Sound Biosphere Reserve Area, close to one of the best intact examples for temperate rainforest left on Earth. The following destinations we will choose for you will match this initial experience in wilderness activities and highly personalized service - each and every day.
